There is only one reason why it's imperative to us, and to you.  New prospect Generation- capturing new contacts and potential clients.  But not only that, Geo targeting your audience runs right alongside the prospect capture.

If you have a Global product,  geo targeting may not seem as important, but you better have a facility to translate your page into at least 10 of the worlds most popular languages for web surfer's. This is not a problem, but really, not a lot of pages are published multilingual. A topic worth reading about but not the thrust of this article. DMS offers that service if you'd wish to discuss it.

External Linking is a key factor in establishing your identity on the web, BUT not from your site to the outside, unless it points to your own data elsewhere on the web.  Period. This article explains the process.
Why would you post a video using an outside player on your site?  "You Tube" can bring you a few hits, if you have some sort of famous production that receives a billion views with your web address displayed in the video, which people have to retype into their browser. There are exceptions, but they are not the rule.

That scenario is not likely if you are a business with a regularly sized clientele like we are, or your favorite restaurant, or you. who are reading this article to completion.  People use these outside "Players" because the "Big Players" on the web have made it fairly convenient to do so. It's not so easy to author such a powerful player on your own website, with your own branding - However . . .

Placing  a "tube" or other "outside" player or service on your site  just serves to drag your important visitors away -  it carries it's own advertising and clients that pay for you to click on them.

This is not a concept.  If you go to our "Art & Design" tab on the right you will see what we do in action, and it's the reverse of what you think. The same goes for a link we are publishing further down in this article.  It's a paradigm.

Our brand,  or your brand in this venue is not just a website, static, waiting for visitors. It is a proactive, socially integrated platform to take your message anywhere, and then back to you.

Very few website embrace this technology,  because it takes a technical team of experts to deploy. Few understand how to do it, but when you see it done,  the outcome is like falling off a log.

The more complex reason, is that the activity on that link can be analyzed by it's owner, see how many people have clicked through to it, what country they are in, how many arrived at the same page without having clicked the short link. How many have "grabbed" the link - the list is exhaustive.  And, the most important data is the conversion itself.  How many links do you promote and which ones convert the best. That's the clincher.
